I am indebted to Gary Odell for the use of his reference image of the stallions fighting.  The situation is based on the Tasmanian landscape.  While wild horses (brumbies in Australia) have not been a significant feature in this state, on mainland Australia, they are found in various places and contribute significantly to the folklore.

I painted this in oil on a canvas panel and it is framed and ready to hang.
