St Aidan's Anglican Church at Molesworth was designed by Robert Flack Ricards, a prominent southern architect of the time. It opened in 1905 but was not consecrated until 18 January, 1906. Services were held there until the 1970's and was sold in 1975, being subsequently converted to a house.
I sent the current owners a letter requesting permission to paint their home, which is currently for sale. They welcomed me and subsequently purchased my painting.
The building is up on a rise and surrounded by a garden with many spring bulbs and bushes that were not in flower or leaf when I painted it, which probably meant that I had a better view of the actual structure.
